Solve For X 2 - Not Solved (Solution on next post)

It's time for round 2 of Solve for X!

The following is a black and white photo of an X that is located on one of the statues in my collection which has already been featured on my blog.  The image may or may not be rotated, so the X won't necessarily look exactly as it would in an upright statue. Your job is to tell me which statue it belongs to.

You can weigh in on the comments section if you think you've figured it out.  If nobody gets it by the time I post the next "Solve For X"post, then I'll reveal it there.  If someone gets it before hand then I will updated this post with the statue reveal and give credit to the clever sleuth that figured it out.

Good luck!

5/25 Update - Congrats to Anonymous for apparently easily identifying where this X came from .  I guarantee the next one will be much more challenging.

The X is certainly from the very cool Iceman Clear Variant Statue:

Snapshot: 90's X-men Display

It's time for another Snapshot post, where I post crappy flash photography shots of various parts of my collection, to wet the appetite of those that can't wait for me to properly document it.

This is the second in my display snapshot posts in which I take flash photography shots of my current statue displays.  Today I'm showing you the set up for my 90's X-men statues. What I have tried to do is to have the gold and blue teams that were formed during "Mutant Genesis" in individual displays.  As you can see the blue team is pretty much complete.

That Would Make A Great... "X-men: The End" Edition

I finally read the 2005-2006, 3 book (18 issue) miniseries X-men: The End.  It was written by one of the central X-men storytellers of the last 20+ years, Chris Claremont.  It tells the tale of the X-men (the version of the team in the early 2000s) 15 years in the future in which all sorts of mind-blowing events take place.  I won't go too far into the details, but its safe to say that if you haven't read it, you're in for a roller coaster ride of X-madness!

Of course there was quite a bit of eye candy and interesting character designs that would serve as great inspiration for some fantastic statues.  The following are just a few images that I gleaned from the various issues which were standout candidates.  It goes without saying that there was way more potential than what you see here in those fantastic books.

X-men: Days of Future Past (Film) - Statue Options 2

As we all know the forthcoming X-men:Days of Future Past film is looking to be pretty darn amazing.  I have a feeling we X-fans are in for a ginormous treat.  This image of Ellen Paige in her Kitty Pryde outfit hints at the potential character designs inspired by the dystopic setting of the film:

That Would Make A Great... "All New X-men #11" Edition

I thought this image could inspire a really great diorama of Magneto holding Wolverine up using his powers.

©MARVEL
With the right sculptor and a transparent rod I think it would be super impressive.  It would also be a great excuse to have Magneto in his new costume in statue form. Now that would rock!
