Coming Soon: Kotobukiya Magneto ArtFx Marvel Now Statue

     Kotobukiya has finally unveiled the second of their set of Art FX statues of the Marvel Now X-Men. This second statue is a version of the Magneto, that was introduced in his excellent solo series which just ended.  This statue is beautiful.  I would be performing a disservice to the X-Men in general if I didn't snatch this guy up as a pre-order (I ordered it from Big Bad Toy Store).

Coming Soon: Kotobukiya Art FX Cyclops Marvel Now Statue

     Kotobukiya has finally unveiled the first of their set of Art FX statues of the Marvel Now X-Men.  The first is the best of the mutant designs, Cyclops with the x visor.  I love this design and have wanted somebody to make a statue of this since I first saw it.  Unfortunately, since it falls under the Art Fx Plus category, it's only 1/10th scale, and thus is out of scale with Bowen  and Koto Danger Room Sessions statues, so it likely won't work in my collection.  The entire set might work though, so I'll consider it.  Either way, if Koto wants to send me a sample, I would be happy to review it on the X-Lair!

Production Mishap - Modern Rogue Leaning Problem

     It had been months since I thought anything about the statues, or the configuration of my modern X-Men display.  Over the the last few weeks that changed as I began noticing something very strange.  The modern Rogue statue had began to lean forward.  Fortunately I had put a little museum putty below most of my statues recently, so the statue was nowhere near the point of tilting forward and falling over... or so I thought!

     Kotobukiya is at it again, sort of.  I say sort of because we were promised a Rogue statue years that was never released.  It was a bit heartbreaking (relatively speaking of course... it is ultimately just a statue).  Hopefully that won't happen again and this beautiful rendition of Rogue in her 90's garb will be mine!!!
