Production Mishap: Cyclossus

Although the factories that produce the statues generally do a good job, there is always that occasional production mishap that leads to some rather unpleasant results.  For instance:

Solve For X 10 - Solved by maverick1891

The following is a black and white photo of an X that is located on one of the statues in my collection which has already been featured on my blog.  The image may or may not be rotated, so the X won't necessarily look exactly as it would in an upright statue. Your job is to tell me which statue it belongs to.

You can weigh in on the comments section if you think you've  figured it out. I've decided to leave these unsolved until someone solves them so I will no longer be providing the solution on the following post.  Unless it says solved in the post title, the solution is still up for grabs.

     Good journey!

8/3 - Update - It took a while but the X in this equation has finally been solved by friend of the blog and master sleuth maverick1891!  Nice job!

Snapshot - 1/4 Scale Custom Statues

It's time for another Snapshot post, where I post  shots of various parts of my collection, to wet the appetite of those that can't wait for me to properly document it.  This snapshot is of 4 of the 1/4 scale statues I have displayed with the current addition Bishop.

The only statue of the four that I have posted thus far into my "Collection Post"s is the Bishop statue.  Stay tuned for "Collection Post"s on the other three.

That Would Make A Great..."Age of Apocalypse: Apocalypse" Edition

The Age of Apocalypse (AoA) is one of my favorite X-men storylines. In the 90's Marvel killed off Professor Xavier in the past and reinvented the present with Apocalypse as the ruler of the mutant dominated world. It was a mind-boggling move for a teenage comic fan like myself to be exposed to which resulted in a permanent reverence for it. Since this essentially became an alternate reality, all the characters in the X-verse (and some throughout the Marvel universe) were redesigned. As a fan of X-statues and this era, I dream of an entire set of these designs being made as statues. Hopefully it'll happen one day.

Today's "That Would Make A Great..." post focuses on the newly imagined design of Apocalypse. Since all the characters were re imagined, all the designs are too big  for one post. Thus I'll be focusing on them in a variety of posts dedicated to this era.

The Wolverine (Film) Statue Options 5

July 26th is closer than ever and I for one can't wait.  This is one of those films that I'm totally ambivalent about.  I want to watch it and love it, but I also don't want to watch it for the fear that it will be a big let down.  It's an X-men Film though and that means it's a can't miss.  But we have heard nothing about forthcoming statues based on the film's designs.  What gives?

That Would Make A Great..."X-treme X-men v2 #8-12" Edition

Although the current volume of X-treme X-men is no more, there are certainly a huge amount of interesting ideas within it that could inspire some great statues.  The series dealt with Dazzler being whisked off into multiple dimensions on a mission to kill evil Xaviers that were hell bent on destroying the multiverse.  What's most interesting about the unique versions of the characters she encountered in her travels is that a couple of them have now entered the normal Marvel universe (earth 616).  What this means for future continuity is up in the air, but I for one and very excited about the possibilities.

Should I or Shouldn't I?: Sabretooth Classic Statue by Bowen Designs

It's time to once again turn the question to you to see if you think I should take the plunge or not with a statue I have yet to buy.  This statue is special because I actually did buy it a couple of weeks ago and because it arrived damaged I've been once again left to ponder the decision of getting it again or not. I of course speak of the very impressive Sabretooth Classic Statue.

70's X-men Display

This is the first of the many posts highlighting the displays I've managed to throw together with the various statues I've collected over the years.  The photos you'll see are not of the actual displays, but of the same set ups placed in an area where I can light them better and give the camera a better look.  I want to make sure I can properly show you the displays.

The first set I am featuring is the 70's X-men display which I have worked hard to perfect.  I felt like I finally got it right about two years ago and haven't changed it since.
